All of these games are sure to amaze, and have been long awaited  by many gamers.

Keep on the look-out for these games, as they will be arriving very soon.   Personally, I can’t wait for these games to hit the shelves!

Movie Reviews: Fight Club,The Dark Knight, Donnie Darko

Fight Club

A withering insomniac and a soap salesman form a increasingly- growing organization that vents male aggression.

This David Fincher (Se7en, Curious Case of Benjamin Button) flick is one of my all-time favorites and has one of the oddest cases ever. Although being a box-office failure, it has become one of the most celebrated movies ever and has a fan base that rivals The Dark Knight’s.

While the beginning being a bit slow, it is necessary to explain Edward Norton’s character and establish Brad Pitt’s. Awesome cinematography takes us through the lives of the two and their devotion to fight club. Fight Club is nonetheless an effort of anti-corporatism, and has one of the best twists of any movie I can think of. The ending is a bit stupid though.

I recommend: V for Vendetta, City of God

The Dark Knight

The people of Gotham City are forced to face the anarchist that is the Joker, a malevolent villian that pushes Batman to his limits.

I must say, this movie was pretty weak. After much anticipation after hearing how great this was, this movie just seemed to drag on and on and didin’t impress me at all. While Heath Ledger does do a good job, Christian Bale was pretty terrible and the length of the movie did not help at all. Without being entirely negative, I found the special effects to be great and some scenes were actually pretty funny. Overall, nothing special, and don’t be fooled by people who think ‘Heath Ledger was so amazing that if he doesn’t win the Oscar I’m gonna hurt someone’.

I recommend: Batman Begins, Sin City

Donnie Darko

A disturbed teenager by the name of Donnie Darko is manipulated by a large rabbit named Frank who saves his life.

What a great movie. Richard Kelly uses a creative atmosphere to bring all of the characters to life. The ending is everything you would want in a movie, and fits so well with the music that almost brings tears to my eyes. The first time watching Donnie Darko isn’t great, but good. After multiple viewings it really sticks with you and you empathise with a lot of the characters, pick up new things and just generally like the movie more. The ending really makes the viewer think, as it can be interpreted in so many different ways. The directors cut is not as good as the theatrical, but is necessary for die-hard fans to watch.  The director was probably influenced a lot from James Stewart movies (particuarly Harvey and It’s A Wonderful Life).

The music in this movie is probably the best soundtrack I have heard besides probably Vanilla Sky and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I recommend: 12 Monkeys, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
