There’s now just over a day until Apple showcases its iPhone 3.0 software, so here’s our constantly updated rumor list, compiled from various sources around the internet.
Bluetooth/USB Tethering: Boy Genius Report suggests there’ll be official support for data tethering in iPhone 3.0 via Bluetooth or USB.
MMS: BGR also predicts the iPhone will finally get Multimedia Messaging as part of its latest major software revision.
Cut, Copy and Paste: Kevin Rose of Diggnation heard from his sources that the iPhone will get the long-requested feature of Copy and Paste in the latest software. He describes the implementation of such a feature on the above video link.
Palm Pre features: Rose also claims to have heard that iPhone 3.0 will equal all features of the Palm Pre, based on their Web OS software. That means Adobe Flash support everyone.
Premium App Store: While related mostly to iTunes, Pocketgamer says that Apple will open a new ‘premium’ $20+ App Store area, to help separate premium content applications from their cheaper counterparts.
Interestingly, Kevin Rose mentioned that both Video recording and Background applications would not be supported in 3.0. This seems to be all we have found so far regarding features for 3.0.
