Rant of the week: It’s not called an iTouch

As an iPod touch owner, something that has always frustrated me since its introduction in September 2007 has been its name. There are alot of people out there who insist on calling it an ‘iTouch’. This problem isn’t just limited to the lazy public – developers are using the term “iTouch” aswell. Out of about 10,000 apps on the App Store now, 109 use “iTouch” in their application summary. What’s even more annoying are those who say “There’s no difference [between iPod touch and “iTouch”]”

People – remember this – it’s called an iPod touch, not an iTouch. It’s only one extra syllable. – r.
